Day 9.5 – Snaellfesnes but at night

As predicted, everything was lining up for a beautiful sunset. I drove back to Grundarfjordur and waited in the car until sunset, about 11.30pm. Only masochistic landscape photographers like myself were out this late, the sun was out but the temperature was freezing. Eventually I dragged myself up the hill to the waterfall and spent 2 hours taking photos from every conceivable angle until the sun realised what “set” means and buggered off for about 2 hours. I drove back to town and slept in the car again because who pitches a tent at 2 in the morning.
