Today I planned to do the entire Saellfesnes peninsula. I stocked up on supplies and set out to Stykkishólmur, a quaint seaside town. The peninsula is not large, so I made a lazy loop of it, stopping at the odd attraction. I noticed that the cloud cover was breaking up, and made plans to end up in the town of Grundarfjordur which is known for an isolated peak towering above it.
