Today I had a mission in finding a bike shop and fixing the spokes. I found one on google easily enough and after being assured by an Icelandic camper that they would be open today, I set off across town. Closed. The campers were wrong and I was stuck here until tomorrow. I didn’t feel like going all the way back to the first campsite so I found one in the heart of the town, a bit closer to the bike shop. At the new site I noticed a single bicycle and naturally set my tent up next to it. The owner arrived as I was setting up. An Italian man named Andrea. He was getting ready to head back to Reykjavik on the mountain road F35. I had nothing better to do so we chatted for a while over tea and chocolate. Being Sunday most shops were closed so I resigned myself to an early night.
